About NYC Shiba Inus and their Human Companions

This meetup group is for Shiba Inus (and their Human Companions) who live in New York City and surrounding areas and would like to attend meetups with other Shiba Inus. In addition to our core group in Manhattan, we now have a Brooklyn Chapter and a Westchester Chapter!

Most of our meetups are simply GREAT BIG PLAY DATES with other Shibas!!! Yay! We also host special events such as the Canine Cocktail Pawty and training workshops just for Shibas.

We enthusiastically welcome potential Shiba owners that want to come to the meetups and spend some time with Shibas. We encourage potential owners to do their research before getting one of these challenging, yet rewarding, dogs. If we can help, in any way, let us know! We also welcome members from outside the metropolitan area if you plan to come to NYC to attend our meetups on occasion.

Our message board is very active and has become a wealth of Shiba information. Please jump in and participate. We also have a quarterly newsletter. Our first issue was published on October 16, 2007.
